Ad Measurement Consent · Effective 2026-10-23
Consent to Processing Personal Data for Ad Measurement
This optional consent lets the Company provide information about your ChapterN app use after registration to advertising providers so that the results of ChapterN ads can be measured and those providers can show ChapterN ads to people likely to be interested. It is separate from the Terms of Service, the Privacy Policy, and the Marketing Communications Consent; agreeing to or acknowledging any of them is not treated as this consent.
You may agree to or decline each of the three items below separately. The Company carries out the processing under this consent only if you agree to all three items, and does not carry it out if you decline any of them. Declining does not prevent you from registering, reading works, purchasing, or using any other feature.
Under operating-system privacy standards, on some devices the Company does not provide user-level information to advertising providers regardless of consent, and measures advertising results only through aggregated information provided by the operating system. When you install the app from an ad, the processing that lets an advertising provider confirm whether the installation came from its ad, and the Company's own measurement and analysis within the measurement and analytics tools it entrusts (including advertising performance analysis, without provision to advertising providers), are separate from this consent, follow the App Privacy Policy, and continue even if you do not consent.
1. Collection and Use of Personal Information for Ad Measurement
| Category | Details |
|---|---|
| Purpose | Advertising performance measurement carried out by providing information to the advertising providers in Section 2 (those providers confirming which ads led to registrations, reading, and purchases) and ad-delivery optimization by those providers |
| Information | App usage records such as registration, reading works, and purchases (occurrence and time); measurement installation identifier; installation and referral-source information; device and app information; IP address and approximate location derived from it; app usage analytics information (search terms, reading progress, choices and time spent, purchase amount, currency and transaction identifier, analytics app identifiers, and the link to an internal Member identifier); and consent and withdrawal records |
| Retention and use period | Use for this purpose lasts until you withdraw consent or delete your account. Information recorded in measurement tools is deleted after its period ends: up to 24 months for AppsFlyer user-level information and up to 14 months for Google Analytics user-level records. Consent and withdrawal records are kept until account deletion |
You have the right to decline this item, and declining does not disadvantage your use of the Service.
2. Provision to Advertising Providers
| Recipient | Recipient's purpose | Information provided | Retention and use period |
|---|---|---|---|
| Meta Platforms Ireland Limited (Meta ads) | Advertising performance measurement and ad-delivery optimization; may also use it for personalized advertising under its own policies | App usage records such as registration, reading works, and purchases (occurrence and time); installation and referral-source information; device and app information; IP address and approximate location derived from it | Up to two years from receipt (Meta Business Tools Terms) |
| TikTok Pte. Ltd. (TikTok ads) | Advertising performance measurement and ad-delivery optimization; may also use it for personalized advertising under its own policies | App usage records such as registration, reading works, and purchases (occurrence and time); installation and referral-source information; device and app information; IP address and approximate location derived from it | Up to 18 months from receipt (TikTok Business Products (Data) Terms) |
| Google LLC (Google ads) | Advertising performance measurement and ad-delivery optimization | App usage records such as registration, reading works, and purchases (occurrence and time); installation and referral-source information; device and app information; IP address and approximate location derived from it; and the app usage analytics information in Section 1 (including search terms, reading progress, choices and time spent, purchase amount, currency and transaction identifier, and the link to an internal Member identifier) | Google Analytics user-level records: up to 14 months (Company setting). Other information received by Google ads follows Google's retention policy (Google Ads data retention policy) |
Advertising providers may link the information they receive with account or device information they hold; their processing, including Meta's and TikTok's use for personalized advertising, follows their own privacy policies. Each provider may delete information earlier under its own policies, and where the law requires retention it keeps the information for that period. The Company does not collect device advertising identifiers and does not provide email addresses or phone numbers to advertising providers (no contact matching).
You have the right to decline this item, and declining does not disadvantage your use of the Service.
3. International Transfer of Personal Information
The advertising providers in Section 2 are located outside Korea, so the provision involves the international transfers below. The information is sent through AppsFlyer Ltd. (processing facilities in the European Union), which the Company entrusts with measurement and analysis, and, for Google, also through Firebase; transfers to these service providers follow Section 5 of the App Privacy Policy.
| Recipient and contact | Country | Timing and method | Information, purpose, and retention |
|---|---|---|---|
| Meta Platforms Ireland Limited · Contact procedure in Meta's Privacy Policy | Ireland. Processing by Meta affiliates outside the European Union follows Meta's Privacy Policy | After consent, whenever a relevant record arises during app use, by encrypted network transmission through AppsFlyer | Information provided to Meta and its purpose in Section 2. Retention: up to two years from receipt |
| TikTok Pte. Ltd. · Privacy inquiries | Singapore, the United States, Malaysia, and Ireland | After consent, whenever a relevant record arises during app use, by encrypted network transmission through AppsFlyer | Information provided to TikTok and its purpose in Section 2. Retention: up to 18 months from receipt |
| Google LLC · Privacy contact | The United States and countries hosting Google data centers | After consent, whenever a relevant record arises during app use, by encrypted network transmission through AppsFlyer and Firebase | Information provided to Google and its purpose in Section 2. Retention: Google Analytics user-level records up to 14 months (Company setting); otherwise per the Google Ads data retention policy |
You have the right to refuse the international transfer. If you refuse, the provision under this consent does not take place, and refusing does not disadvantage your use of the Service. After agreeing, you can withdraw as described in Section 4.
4. Withdrawing Consent
You can withdraw or give this consent again under 'Ad measurement consent' in the app settings (on devices that offer this setting), and on any device you can also request withdrawal at any time through admin@zenumaik.com. Consent and withdrawal are recorded on your Member account. From the moment you withdraw, the processing under this consent stops; information already provided is handled under the retention periods in Section 2 and each provider's policies. Withdrawing does not disadvantage your use of the Service.
